not get serious about his art until a few years ago, he has always enjoyed expressing himself
through different art genres, from woodcarving to painting. One theme has held true no matter what
medium he chose – he loves to imitate things he sees in nature and in the Rocky Mountain west. | | Click Image For Related Information | | | "Wind" | He found his "niche" when he began working with metal. Transforming raw metal into a piece of art
takes just the right amount of heat and texture. His focus is on the things he finds in nature –
the mountains and wildlife such as elk, eagles and wolves. Some of his commissioned pieces, which
did not necessarily fall into that category, include a grand piano, an antique car and three
Olympic sports figures, which hang in a prestigious restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah, following
the 2002 Olympics. | | Click Image For Related Information | | | "High Plains Thunder" | His most recent commissioned challenge was a floor to ceiling piece, depicting five Rocky Mountain
rams on a rocky ridge, overlooking a pristine lake and forest. The piece is proudly displayed in a
new home in Riverton, Wyoming.
Jerry`s hope is that you find something you can identify with when you view his art. Perhaps it is
the serenity of a mountain lake, the beauty of wild ponies racing across the Wyoming desert, the
majesty of the Tetons, or the distant roar of bison hooves moving across the plains. That is when
his art becomes complete.
