Our pioneer family came to Oregon in the late 1800`s and settled in the Rouge Valley, where I still reside. I grew up working in the family meat processing business. In 1988 I started working in the steel construction industry and became a construction foreman and high-pressure vessel welder.

I always intended to pursue art as a career. At age 28, I started full time and found that I could incorporate my skills with metal in my artwork. This is when I began to realize that there is no limit to the type of construction a gate can have and pursued this as a functional art. Admittedly my passion remains in the realm of bronze sculpture. The sculpture of the two arms "The Mission" is what I would consider to be my first real sculpture. This piece is going into the main lobby of Providence Hospital in Medford, Oregon.

I am at the beginning of my art career and have many hopes and dreams for the type of sculptures I can create. This is a beautiful world. I hope I can reflect some of that beauty and grace in my work.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
